Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your data from Revdeo (operated by Optinize GmbH), including any data we hold through your connected Meta (Facebook / Instagram) advertising assets. It complements your rights under our Privacy Policy(Art. 17 GDPR — right to erasure) and satisfies Meta’s Platform requirement for a clear data-deletion path.

1. What Meta-related data we hold

Revdeo is a marketing tool used by businesses (“Builders”). When a Builder connects a Meta ad account — either by logging in with Facebook Login for Business, or by sharing assets with our Business Manager (concierge setup) — we store only what is needed to run ads on the Builder’s behalf:

  • the Meta ad account ID, connected Page ID and Pixel/Dataset ID;
  • an access token (or, for concierge accounts, a reference to our central system-user token), encrypted at rest;
  • campaign performance metrics we pull back for reporting — spend, impressions, clicks per ad.

We do notimport or store the personal data of the Builder’s own customers from Meta, and we do not store Facebook or Instagram profile data of end users. Revs who use the optional Partnership-Ads feature additionally store an Instagram handle, numeric user ID and ad-partnership code.

2. Delete it yourself (fastest)

Disconnect Meta advertising assets

  • Builders: go to app.revdeo.io/settings/meta and choose Disconnect. This immediately deletes the stored access token, ad account, Page and Pixel references for that account. You can also revoke Revdeo’s access entirely in your Meta account under Settings → Business Integrations. For concierge setups, remove Revdeo’s Business Manager as a partner in your Meta Business settings. When you remove Revdeo this way, the access token we stored stops working immediately; to also erase it from our records, use the in-app Disconnect above or email us below.
  • Revs: remove your Instagram connection at rev.revdeo.io/meta.

Delete your whole account

To delete your entire Revdeo account and associated personal data, email us at the address below — we will remove your account, including any connected Meta credentials and integration data.

3. Request deletion by email

Send a request to privacy@revdeo.io from the email address associated with your account (or naming the connected Meta ad account / Instagram handle). No specific wording is required — “please delete my data” is enough. We may ask one question to verify you control the account before we act.

4. What happens and when

  • Disconnecting an asset in-app removes the stored tokens and identifiers immediately.
  • Email-based deletion requests are completed without undue delay, at the latest within 30 days (Art. 12 (3) GDPR). We confirm by email once done.
  • Backups are overwritten on their normal rotation cycle (within 30 days of deletion).

5. What we may have to keep

Some records cannot be deleted on request because the law requires us to keep them. In particular, invoices and payout receipts are retained for 10 years (§ 147 German Fiscal Code). These are kept locked for accounting purposes only and are not used for any other processing. Full details are in section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
